Lynda Carter will be voicing the Nordic race in the upcoming Bethesda Softworks game, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Lynda Carter is best known for her starring roll in the television series Wonder Woman. She's also starred in a barrage of films, most recently including Dukes of Hazzard. She'll also be returning to television this September in episodes of Law and Order and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.

"I am honored to come back and participate in the making of Oblivion, which represents another major step forward in the evolution of video games."

Carter is no stranger to The Elder Scrolls. She was also a voice actor on the previous title in the series, Morrowind.

"Working on Morrowind was a wonderful experience," said Carter. "It was my first foray into videogames, and it was great fun to be part of a groundbreaking title that brought millions of gamers to explore the endless world. I am honored to come back and participate in the making of Oblivion, which represents another major step forward in the evolution of video games."

Executive Producer Todd Howard comments on the announcement, saying that "we are thrilled she was able to find time to join our cast again., Our goal with Oblivion is to deliver the most unique and lifelike gaming experience, so adding her talent and personality to some of our characters was a perfect fit."

Carter joins other voice actors signed up for Oblivion, including Patrick Stewart (Star Trek: The Next Generation), who will be the voice of the Emperor.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be released this holiday season, shortly after the release of the Xbox 360 console. Oblivion will be available for the Xbox 360 and the PC.
