Final Fantasy XII gets official release date
Finally, we know when to expect the elusive FF12

Final Fantasy XII has been in development for a long time, and finally, Square Enix has given us a date. March 16, 2006 will be the official release date of FF12 in Japan. In North America, we can expect it shortly after — probably in the fall.
It's not a perfect date for those on the North American side, but it does give a better idea of when to expect the game after developers complete localization of FFXII.
Work was going on for Final Fantasy XII when FFX was released at the end of 2001. With this much development time, gamers can expect a game that's either very large, or very well polished.
