Advent Children delayed

Simultaneous global release broken as US date slips

Square Enix has announced the delay of the upcoming DVD/UMD film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children in the US. The film was originally supposed to be released on September 13 both in North America and in Japan.

Now, the US version has been delayed to the "holiday season", meaning probably around the end of November. Square Enix is also unable to confirm a European release date.

Advent Children is a sequel to the original Final Fantasy VII game for the Sony PlayStation (and later PC). The film takes place two years after the events in the game.
