Final Fantasy IIID coming to Nintendo DS

Square Enix expands with a 3D FF3 on the Nintendo DS

Square Enix has announced that it will release Final Fantasy IIID for the Nintendo DS handheld gaming system. This announcement actually took place months ago, but Square Enix is starting to show off the goods and up the ante by revealling that this return to Final Fantasy III is more than just a port.

The remake includes some significant changes to visuals, including a new 3D look and feel. In order to keep FF IIID tied closely to the original, though, Square Enix is having some of the original game's creators on the project.
