DQ8: Journey of the Cursed King now available for the Sony PS2

Square Enix has announced the immediate availability of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King for the Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) video game console. This will be the first PS2 Dragon Quest game.

Shipping with the game is a demo of the upcoming title Final Fantasy XII.

"We are extremely excited about Dragon Quest VIII's release in North America. Utilizing state of the art polygon technology, not only the map, but all of Akira Toriyama's characters are created in 3D. The player can freely run around in this wonderfully animated world as far as the eye can see," said Yuji Horii, Creator of the game.

Dragon Quest VIII can now be purchased from retailers all over North America.
