Next Square Enix games on the PS3, or Xbox 360?

SE president hints at Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest titles on the Microsoft console

Square Enix president Yoichi Wada has dropped a hint that the upcoming titles Final Fantasy XIII and Dragon Quest IX could appear on the Xbox 360 system.

Inisitial details on these two games are expected to be mentioned at the Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3) in 2006. It is by then that Square Enix will know whether it plans to develop these games for the PlayStation 3, or for the Xbox 360.

Square Enix already plans to release one game for the Xbox 360 — a port of Final Fantasy XI. Final Fantasy XI is already out for the PlayStation 2 and PC.

Meanwhile, Dragon Quest VIII was just released today in North America, and included a demo disc for Final Fantasy XII. Final Fantasy XI is not yet complete.
