Sony to release a Final Fantasy XII PS2
FFXII Potions, PlayStations... Japan is happy land for Final Fantasy fans
January 6, 2006
Sony has announced that it's releasing a special edition of its PlayStation 2 (PS2) home video game console that will bear the Final Fantasy XII logo and designs.
Square Enix will be releasing Final Fantasy XII on March 16 in Japan, and Sony will release the PlayStation 2 Final Fantasy XII Pack on the same day. The pack, of course, includes all the usual PS2 attachments and the twelfth installment in the Final Fantasy series. In addition, a limited edition FFXII cell phone strap will be included.

The symbol on the Final Fantasy XII is that of the "Judge Master" in the game. The game's logo also appears on the system. The PS2/FFXII pack is only planned for release in Japan.
Final Fantasy XII is highly anticipated worldwide, and has been delayed for some time. Sales of Dragon Quest VIII were undoubtedly boosted by the fact that Square Enix included a playable demo of the FF title in the box. The company has also partnered with a beverage company to deliver real-life Final Fantasy potions — but again, only in Japan.
