Final Fantasy XIII-2

Square Enix will bring Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest to the Sony PSP... sort of.

Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street to be re-made in a portable fashion

February 20, 2006

Square Enix, the company behind the popular Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest (or Dragon Warrior as it was previously known in North America) series has announced that it will release Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street for Sony's PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld.

Itadaki Street is Japanese board game series. The new PSP title will basically be another incarnation of the game using Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest characters and imagery.

This isn't the first time that Square Enix characters have made their appearance in an Itadaki Street title. Another game, also called Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street, was released for the Japanese PlayStation 2 in 2004. The new PSP game will be all-new, though, not just a PSP version of the original game.
