In a release today, Square Enix has announced its line-up of games that it will showcase in this year's Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3), which will be held in Los Angeles on May 10–12.

Square Enix's North American president and COO Daishiro Okada called the coming library of games the company's "most diverse line-up ever".

We're evolving and growing, extending the Square Enix brand beyond video games to a variety of entertainment vehicles and a broader consumer base bridging the generation and gender gap," said Okada. "Our goal is to provide consumers with the most engaging and immersive entertainment experiences possible and we hope to give attendees at E3 a taste of what's to come."

Among the titles that Square Enix will display are:

The most notable new additions to this list include Children of Mana and Dawn of Mana, two original sequels to the Mana series (Seiken Densetsu). Many fans of Square Enix titles may be disappointed to see that the company has not yet announced any activity on the Sony PlayStation 3. The PS3, which will debut at the end of the year, is likely to absorb much of the attention at this year's E3. Many fans were hoping to see some more next-generation titles, such as the recently announced Square Enix PS3 MMORPG. It's still possible that the company will bring some suprises to the show, but it doesn't look like next-generation consoles (such as the PS3 and Xbox 360) are central to Square Enix's 2005–2006 catalog.

In addition to the Square Enix titles being featured, the company will also showcase a handful of mobile games from its recent arcade acquisition, Taito.

E3 will be held at the LA Convention Centre this May. Square Enix will showcase its goods in the South Hall at Booth #746.
