Final Fantasy XII coming to North America this Halloween

Release date for the next major Final Fantasy title finally announced

Final Fantasy XII has been in development for what seems like ages, and as the first main line single-player Final Fantasy title in years (and years), many are anxious to get their hands on it. Finally, Square Enix has let us in on the release date for the North American version of the game.

October 31, 2006 is the date. The Japanese version of the game was released in March. No European release has been set yet.

The company also announced a special Collector's Edition of the game which includes a bonus DVD with trailers, interviews and art. The Collector's Edition will be released exclusively at Gamestop and EB Games.
