Final Fantasy characters to appear on Mario's court

Mario Hoops 3-on-3 will include familiar Square Enix faces

Square Enix has revealled that characters from its Final Fantasy series will appear in the upcoming Nintendo DS title, Mario Hoops 3-on-3.

The Final Fantasy faces that will show up in Mario Hoops are more generic than any one game's specific chracters. They include generic job classes White Mage, Black Mage and Ninja, as well as a Moogle and Cactuar.

The Final Fantasy characters will each have a special move that relates back to their origins. Square Enix fans will recognize such techniques as "1000 Needles" from the Cactaur and "Meteor" from the Black Mage.

Mario Hoops 3-on-3, which is being developed by Square Enix for Nintendo, will be released this September.
