Final Fantasy XII will head to Europe in 2007

Europe gets screwed over on release - again.

September 27, 2006

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XII for the Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) will be released in "early 2007". This is somewhat disappointing, considering how the game was released in March to Japan, and will appear in North America on October 31.

Despite the fact that Square Enix revealled Final Fantasy XIII for the PS3 back in May, regions outside Japan are still waiting to finally try out FFXII. A demo of this game came out a year ago with Dragon Quest VIII.

Final Fantasy XII marks a return to the main line of single-player Final Fantasy titles. It's been years since Square Enix has introduced a unique single-player FF — FFXI is still running online, and most of the other releases in the franchise have been spin-offs of previous titles.
