Bethesda Softworks, the developer and publisher of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has announced that its game will be published for the Sony PlayStation 3 when the system launches in November. Ubisoft will also co-publish the game in Europe where the PS3 will be released in March.
Bethesda presiden Vlatko Andonov commented that, "Oblivion's countless awards and commercial success to date make it clear that PlayStation 3 owners are in for a real treat this November."
Oblivion is already available on the PC and Xbox 360, where it has seen quite a bit of success — both commercially and critically. The PS3 version will include additional content, included a new faction called the Knights of the Nine which will have its own quest series.
Bethesday also announced a new PSP game called The Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion. This game will be set in a different region outside of the main Oblivion title and is on track for release next spring.
