Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII playable at Jump Festa 2007

Square Enix's PSP sequel to appear at Japanese anime/manga event

November 28, 2006

Square Enix has announced that it's upcoming game for the Sony PSP, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, will be playable at the upcoming Jump Festa event in Japan.

Crisis Core is a prequel to the popular Final Fantasy VII game, which was released for the original Sony PlayStation in 1997. Crisis Core is a part of Square Enix's more recent Compilation of Final Fantasy VII project, which expanded the game's story into additional games, a CGI movie and a brief anime film.

Jump Festa 2007 is this year's installment in an annual Japanese anime and manga exhibition. The event takes place December 16–17. Square Enix will also be showcasing Final Fantasy VI Advance, Final Fantasy XIII, Seiken Densetsu 4 (Dawn of Mana) and other titles.

Crisis Core is expected to be released next spring in Japan, with North American and European release dates expected to follow.
