New Final Fantasy Dissidia details revealled

Characters from the series' past will join together on the battlefield

Square Enix has revealled some details about the recently announced Final Fantasy Dissidia for the Sony PSP. Until now, only the name and logo had been revealled.

Final Fantasy will bring together various characters from previous Final Fantasy titles. The Warrior of Light from FF1 and Zidane from FF9 are the first two revealled. Kuja, also from FF9, will appear as a villain in the game.

As for the game's format, Square Enix calls Dissidia a "progressive action" game, which so far only means that it's not an RPG. The player will fight in real-time combat on 3D battlefields. Special moves and the ability to jump will be a part of gameplay.

No release date has been revealled yet.
