The Last Remnant

Xbox 360 version of Oblivion's Shivering Isles will be sold in retail stores

Disc release will be bundled with previous game add-ons

September 7, 2007

Bethesda Softworks has announced that the Xbox 360 version of its Shivering Isles expansion to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will become available to retail stores.

The expansion was previously available as a download through the Xbox Live Marketplace, but will now be available on disc. This retail version will also include the previously-released Knights of the Nine content, which also expands the gameplay of Oblivion.

The Shivering Isles expansion will make its way onto an Xbox 360 disc. The original Oblivion disc is still required to play.

If you don't yet have your own copy of Oblivion, though, you should pick up the Game of the Year Edition instead. This bundle includes the full original game, as well as Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine. The new edition will be released across multiple platforms next week.

Shivering Isles opens up a whole new questline in Oblivion, which takes place in a new explorable realm controlled by a raving lunatic.

The new disc will be available shortly, acording to Bethesda. No plans to release a PlayStation 3 version of the disc have been announced.
