Final Fantasy Versus XIII gameplay images revealed
Screenshots show off impressive detail, a testament to both the game's designers and the PS3
January 24, 2008
The first two gameplay screenshots of Final Fantasy Versus XIII have emerged in Famitsu magazine. Teaser trailers and pre-rendered images of the game have previously been released, but these screens are reportedly in-game images. This is our first glimpse of how the gameplay will look.

Although these are scanned in and somewhat grainy in quality, the screens show off some of the impressive graphics boasted by the game's creators. It takes a discerning eye to even recognize the difference between these and the other FF Versus XIII images that have been released to date. The game's developers have previously stated that they'll be pushing the game to really take advantage of the PS3's power, and it looks like that's exactly what they're doing.
Final Fantasy Versus XIII has no release date yet, but some have speculated that we might even see the game by the end of 2008. We'll wait for word from Square Enix to get our hopes up on that one.
