Unconfirmed: Jade Empire coming to Xbox Originals

BioWare's epic RPG is expected to return on the Xbox 360

Microsoft's press FTP site has been updated with new images for Jade Empire, suggesting that the game is coming to the Xbox Originals feature of the Xbox 360. Xbox Originals allows Xbox 360 owners to download and play games from the original Xbox console.

Jade Empire is an action-RPG from BioWare, who also developed Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and last year's Mass Effect. The game, which is set in a martial arts world inspired by ancient China, puts a spin on the RPG genre by dropping the standard character stats into mind, body and spirit. The game features the extensible dialogue style that has made BioWare famous.

The hit Xbox RPG Fable is also expected to make an appearance on Xbox Originals.

Most Xbox Originals cost 1200 Microsoft points, or about $15 U.S. No release date (or official announcement) have been made public.
