Fallout 3 editor and DLC details

Fallout 3

Bethesda has released their official editor for the PC version of Fallout 3.  The editor, called the Garden of Eden Creation Kit, allows you to customize almost all aspects of the game, including buildings, characters and enemies.  It functions similarly to Oblivion‘s editor, since the games use the same game engine.

Meanwhile, details about the upcoming Xbox 360 downloadable content (DLC) for Fallout 3 have also emerged.  The first pack, Operation: Anchorage, will be released in January for 800 Microsoft points.  The content will be available to all levels in the game.

The premise of the new content is actually a military simulation.  Since it’s only a simulation, your Fallout 3 character will be able to experience new areas.  The pack itself involves a battle with China before Dooms Day — meaning a very different environment than the rest of the game.

Afterwards, the two other announced DLC packs, The Pitt and Broken Steel will come out in February and March, respectively.
