Skyrim
The Elder Scrolls V
Two hundred years have passed since the Oblivion Gates opened and the Third Era came to a close. The Nord King of Skyrim has just been assasinated, leading to a civil war. Now, a prophecy of the Elder Scrolls, which is displayed on a stone wall in an ancient temple, is coming to being. Dragons have returned and the god Alduin is rising to devour the world. It is up to the last dragon hunter to restore peace to Skyrim and all of Tamriel.
Skyrim is the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series, developed and published by Bethesda.
Skyrim takes place 200 years after the events of Oblivion at a time when Skyrim is threatened both by civil war and by the rise of a god that threatens to destroy the entire world. The player is the last of the Dovahkiin, or "dragon-born", a hunter of dragons empowered by the gods to defeat Alduin and stop the threat.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released on November 11, 2011 (11/11/11) for the Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PS3 and Windows PC platforms.
