The Ruler of Albion Achievement

The Ruler of Albion achievement in Fable II is earned by creating a "2.5 million gold real estate empire". Specifically, this means that your need to own properties valued at a total of 2.5 million gold.

Some guides falsely suggest that you increase the rent on various properties around Albion to earn more money. While this may help you to earn money faster, and thus buy more properties, it won't directly help you earn the achievement. The achievement is based on the value of the properties themselves, and not how much you make from them.

The Ruler of Albion achievement can be earned by buying most of the properties you can. There are several key properties in Fable II that are worth more:

  • Giles Farm in Brightwood
  • Brightwood Tower
  • Temple of Light or Temple of Shadows
  • Bowerstone Cemetery Mansion: Last stage of the game, after the Love Hurts quest.
  • Reaver's House in Bloodstone: After the Hero of Skill quest.
  • Castle Fairfax: Purchased only after the game is completed. This one is worth 1 million gold.

You can increase the value of homes by adding new furniture to your homes, and by spending money in the towns to improve their economy. Taverns are also the most valuable property in a town, aside from the special buildings. The achievement is easier if you chose to return the warrants to the officer at the very beginning of the game, as Old Town will have more properties and a better economy, but the achievement can be earned either way.
