Fable II Silver Key Locations

The Silver Keys in Fable II allow you to open treasure chests scattered throughout Albion. These chests each contain a number, corresponding to the number of Silver Keys you need to open them. There are 50 silver keys in total. Once you collect them all, you'll also earn The Hoarder achievement.

Silver Keys are not consumed when you open a silver chest — they remain in your inventory so you can hold all 50 of them even after opening some chests.

The following are all of the Silver Key locations in Fable II, organized by location:

Bandit Coast: 1 Silver Key

  1. There's a fairly easy to find key about half way through this area.

Bloodstone: 5 Silver Keys

  1. On the right, after entering Bloodstone, you'll see a crypt that can be opened by a statue. There's a key inside the crypt here.
  2. There's a silver key in the cellar beside the Furniture Shop. You'll need to hit an orb here to open the door blocking your path to it.
  3. There's one in a dive spot on the left side (if facing the sea) of the harbour area. Just follow the left side of the docks all the way to a crane, and dive into the water.
  4. During the Treasure Trove Island quest, you'll be taken to an island where you'll need to find treasure. There's a silver key on a ledge here, which can be reached after you dive into the central water/waterfall area, and start to climb back up. Instead of going all the way up, jump off the ledge to a lower cliff with the key. Don't leave without it!
  5. After you've completed the Treasure Trove Island quest, return to the Sink Hole. Now that the water level has been raised, you can swim across to a key in here.

Bower Lake: 4 Silver Keys

  1. There's one Silver Key on the island in Bower Lake, where the tomb entrance is.
  2. There's one hidden behind a tree on the right side of the map, near the smaller lake/pond.
  3. There's one inside the Tomb of Heroes, accessible later in the game. At the end of this area, it's behind a pillar on the right.
  4. In the Gypsy Camp, there is an area behind the camp that is accessible from a space in the fence. This won't be available until later in the game.

Bowerstone Cemetery: 4 Silver Keys

  1. There's one fairly obvious silver key at the lowest part of the map.
  2. There's one in a broken shed in the top-left area of the map.
  3. There's one at the top of the Cemetery Mansion. You won't be able to enter the mansion until later in the game.
  4. After you've completed the Love Hurts quest and have purchased the mansion, you'll gain access to Shelley Crypt. When you enter a room with coffins, walk up to the higher area in this room. You can break open a cracked wall here to reveal a silver key.

Bowerstone Market: 3 Silver Keys

  1. There's one silver key taunting you from behind a closed gate as you enter from the Lake (by the carriage driver). Go down to the river, walk/swim over the the docks below the carriages. There is a dive spot below the docks that will lead into that room, allowing you to collect the key and open the door.
  2. In the cellar of the Furniture Shop, accessible through the basement, you'll find a glowing orb. Shoot it to open the door to a silver key.
  3. There's another Silver Key in a dig spot here, in an alley beside the tavern. Your dog may not find the spot unless he has enough skill, which can be learned from books at the bookstore.

Bowerstone Old Town: 3 Silver Keys

  1. There's a key on the balcony of the Invisible Hand house, which is at the bottom of the stairs leading towards Rookridge.
  2. The cellar next to the Helping Hand house contains a silver key.
  3. The warehouse has a key inside it behind some crates

Brightwood: 5 Silver Keys

  1. In the northeast area of your map, you can find one between two statues.
  2. There's one by the south-west area of the map, by a collapsed bridge.
  3. On the route to Westcliff, there is a small road leading off to the left with a silver key.
  4. There's one inside Archon's Knot. This area is accessible through a hole near Brightwood Tower. You need to climb up the building to where the teleporter spot is, go over to the broken part of the wall and jump down into this area. Inside, the key can be found as part of the puzzles you'll need to complete.
  5. Later in the game you can purchase the Giles Farm. After you've bought the farm (uh, in the literal sense), you can obtain a key from the house that will open the gate in the cellar. The key can be found inside.

Fairfax Gardens: 2 Silver Keys

  1. Under the entrance to the manor, you can get to a small courtyard through a tunnel. There's a silver key in the tunnel.
  2. Inside Lady Grey's Tomb (accessible later in the game), you'll find one as you're exiting. It's on the right, beyond the main chamber.

Guild Cave: 1 Silver Key

  1. This can be found as you progress through the Bower Lake Tomb part of this area. After you enter from Bower Lake, drop down and follow the path to a doorway. Just before the doorway, you'll find a key behind a rock to your left.

Oakfield: 6 Silver Keys

  1. Coming from Rookridge, the second house on the right has a key inside.
  2. There's one upstairs in Porridge Cottage, next to the sculptor's workshop.
  3. There's a key just by the small lake on the east side of your map.
  4. There's a silver key behind some bails of hay near Luminous Cottage on the west side of Oakfield.
  5. There's one inside Wellspring Cave, there's one behind a platform that you'll need to stand on to fill the jug.
  6. There's one inside Echo Mine, which is accessible later in the game.

Rookridge: 6 Silver Keys

  1. There's one at the base of the statue, just past the first area where you fight some bandits.
  2. Gemstone Grotto has a key inside. This little cave can be found after diving off the bridge by swimming past the beach, ignoring Hobbe Cave, to the corner of this area and following a path. If you follow the path inside it loops around on itself. Before you drop down, you can find an area off to the left with a silver key in it. If you miss Gemstone Grotto the first time, you'll need to walk through Hobbe Cave in reverse to get back down there.
  3. On the raised rail tracks behind Rookridge Inn, you'll find it at the end of the tracks (in the opposite direction that Dash runs.)
  4. There's a path leading behind the house near the top of the Hobbe Cave. A silver key is there.
  5. Inside Hobbe Cave, there is a dig spot just past (if entering from above) or before (if entering from by the water) the area of the cave with the stone bridges and foggy chasm below. Your dog needs enough skill to find this spot, so you probably won't get it until you come back.
  6. There's a key inside the Temple of Shadows, in the room to the left side of the sacrificial chamber.

Westcliff: 4 Silver Keys

  1. There's one inside a hut by a camp in the south area of the map.
  2. Inside the cavern, there are some spiral stairs. Climb up to the top of one of the alcoves here to get a silver key.
  3. At the beach area near Westcliff camp, you can find it to the right behind some crates.
  4. In the water, there is an entrance to the Old Tin Mines. Down the river from here, closer to the Howling Halls entrance, you can find the key in a grassy area to the left (if swimming away from the mines).

Wraithmarsh: 6 Silver Keys

  1. In the area with the well in the middle, the first building on the left has a key.
  2. In one area with statues and coffins in the fog, a silver key is to your left.
  3. After defeating the second banshee, you'll see a hut with a path to the right of it. Follow the path to a silver key.
  4. Inside Twinblades Tomb, there's one in the coffin room, to the right, and another in the coffin itself
  5. Once you're done in the Twinblades Tomb, you'll see a key as you exit.
