Weapon Schematics

In Fallout 3, custom weapons are assembled by using schematics found in various locations throughout the Capital Wasteland. Schematics will give you the components neccessary to construct a weapon. Once you gather the items, which can be found all over the place, bring them to a workbench to construct the weapon.

Making one of each custom weapon from the schematics will earn you the Xbox 360 Achievement or PlayStation 3 trophy Weaponsmith.

The following is a list of all custom weapon schematics in Fallout 3, along with their ingredients/components and locations. Finding multiple copies of the schematics will allow you to create better versions of the custom weapons.

Bottlecap Mine

Schematics Locations:

Dart Gun

Schematics Locations:

  • From the quest: Head of State
  • Lydia Montenegro (Tenpenny Tower)
  • MDPL-05 Power Station (North-east area of map)

  • Surgical Tubing
  • Toy Car

Deathclaw Gauntlet

Schematics Locations:

  • F.Scott Key Trail & Campground
  • Bannon (Rivet City, quest reward)
  • From some Random Encounters

Items Needed:

  • Deathclaw Hand
  • Leather Belt
  • Medical Brace
  • Wonder Glue

Nuka Grenade

Schematics Locations:

  • Doc Hoff (Caravan)
  • Sierra Petrovita (In Girdershade - the Nuka-Cola girl)
  • Yao Guai Cave (inside Cliffside Cavern)

Rock-It Launcher

Shishkebab
