Ninjas learn a wide variety of special abilities as they go, but being a ninja can be pricey since these abilities make use of ninja tools. This is an interesting alternative to a Black Mage though, since the ninja tools replace MP, and are capable of many of the same damaging or enfeebling results.

Ninjutsu

Ninja Quest Guide
Location: Port Bastok
Provider: Ensetsu
Requirements: Must be level 30+
Item(s) Needed: Strangely-Shaped Coral, Sealed Dagger
To begin the quest, you have to speak with (in order): Kaede (in the house at I-5), Kagetora (in warehouse at F-5), and then finally Ensetsu (I-5, same as Kaede, but to the left). He actually gives you the quest. Your first task is to go though the Zeruhm Mines to Korroloka Tunnel. Around K-8 to L-8 of the northwestern map, there is a spot that is a little different from the rest. Examine it and 3 Korroloka Leeches will attack to. Kill them and examine the spot again to find a piece of strangely shapred coral.
Return to Port Bastok and talk with Ensetsu again. Now your next task is to go to Norg and give the coral to Ryoma. In return, Ryoma (H-8) gives you the sealed dagger which you return to Ensetsu. Once you have given it to him, you have completed the quest and are now able to be a Ninja.
