Rank Missions

Rank missions tell the story of Final Fantasy XI, and raise your character's rank (which ranges from 1–10). At higher ranks, you can gain more benefits, including a free Airship pass, the ability to Warp to Outposts throughout Vana'diel, the ability to purchase valuable items with Conquest Points and more. You can only gain rank in your home nation.

Expansion Missions

Each expansion pack offers a series of missions also. These missions help you gain access to features of the expansion, including items and new areas. For example, you can only access Sky through Zilart Missions. Al'Taieu (Sea) is only accessible through Chains of Promathia. The Aht Urhgan missions give you access to participate in Assault and other events.
