Quests in Windurst
In Final Fantasy XI quests are done in order to obtain Fame. When you have higher rank of fame, prices in shops will be reduced, new quests will be activated, and some of these quests will help you acquire very expensive items that you wouldn't be able to acquire otherwise.
Mandragora-Mad
Fame: Windurst Fame quest.
NPC: Yoran-Oran (E-5)-Windurst Walls
Reward: 120-250 gil per item
Requirements: None
Item(s) Needed: 1 Cornette or 1 Four-leaf Mandragora or 1 Pinch of Yuhtunga Sulfur
Repeatable: Yes
Yoran-Oran is doing an experiment and he needs items that the Mandragora drop (but only certain items, as listed above). He will pay you per item, the Cornette is worth 200 gil, the Four-leaf Mandragora is worth 120 gil and the Pinch of Sulfur is worth 250 gil. The best way to do this fame quickly is by purchasing Cornettes from Harmodio's Music Shope (Bastok Markets K-10) and giving them to Yoran-Oran in Windurst.
Mihgo's Amigo
Fame: Norg Fame quest.
NPC: Nanaa Mihgo (J-3)-Windurst Woods
Reward: 200 gil
Requirements: None
Item(s) Needed: 4 Yagudo Bead Necklaces
Repeatable: Yes
Near Nanaa, there are a few people talking about her. These people, Mheca Khetashipah, Bopa Greso, and Cha Lebagata tell you that if you want Nanaa to favor you, you should bring her a gift. Talk with Nanaa and Cha will give you a hint as to what Nanaa wants. They are the Yagudo Bead Necklaces. Bring her 4, and every time you do so, recieve 200 gil.
Food For Thought
NPC: Kerutoto (I-8)-Windurst Waters
Reward: 1000 gil

Item(s) Needed: Boiled Egg, Grilled Hare, Pamtam Kelp, Tortilla, Windurst Tea
Repeatable: No
Go to the Rhinostery and speak with Kerutoto. His crew of researchers are very hungry. Your task is to get them the food they want. Kerutoto wants Grilled Hare; Ohbiru-Dohbiru wants Windurst Tea, a Tortilla, and Pamtam Kelp; Kenapa-Keppa wants a boiled egg. All the food can be purchased from shops or the Auction House.
Teachers Pet
NPC: Moreno-Toeno (L-4)-Windurst Waters
Reward: 250 gil
Requirements: None
Item(s) Needed: Two-Leaf Mandragora Bud, Bird Feather
Repeatable: Yes
Moreno-Toeno is a teacher and is looking for ways to make it more interesting. He asks you to find a couple of items; a Two-Leaf Mandragora Bud dropped by the Mandragoras, and a Bird Feather dropped by Carrion Crows in Sarutabaruta. Return these to him for a small reward, but it is repeatable so it will eventually add up.
The All New C-2000
NPC: Kopura-Popuro (H-10)-Windurst Woods
Reward: 200 gil
Requirements: None
Item(s) Needed: 1 Insect Wing, 1 Rabbit Hide, 1 Two-Leaf Mandragora Bud
Repeatable: No
Kopura-Popuro wants to create another Cardian, but he needs the items first. Insect Wings can be found off Bumblebees, Rabbit Hides can be found off the Rarabs, and the Two-Leaf Mandragora Buds can be found off the Mandragoras.
The All New C-3000
NPC: Kopura-Popuro (H-10)-Windurst Woods
Reward: 600 gil
Requirements: Complete the All New C-2000 quest
Item(s) Needed: 1 Beetle Shell, 1 Hecteyes Eye
Repeatable: Yes
Kopura-Popuro needs teaching aids for the Cardian he created. He wants you to retrieve a Beetle Shell and a Hecteyes Eye. The Beetle Shell can be dropped from any beetle (Inside the Ruins) and the Hecteye can be dropped from Hecteyes in Ranguemont Pass. For every set you bring back to Kopura, you recieve 600 gil.
Creepy Crawlies
NPC: Illu Bohjaa (H-6)-Windurst Woods
Reward: 600 gil
Requirements: None
Item(s) Needed: 3 Crawler Calculi, or 3 Spools of Silk Thread
Repeatable: Yes
Speak with Illu to begin the quest. She explains why Crawler's are bad, and she wants you to defeat as many as you can in East & West Sarutabaruta until you acquire either 3 Crawler Calculi or 3 Spools of Silk Thread. Bring these back to her and each time recieve 600 gil.
Chocobilious
NPC: Kuoh Rhel (K-12)-Windurst Woods
Reward: 1500 gil
Requirements: None
Item(s) Needed: Papaka Grass
Repeatable: No
Speak with the NPC to find out that one of the chocobos is sick and he can't leave its side. So you have to go check to see if the medicine is ready from the Pharmacist. Go to Tapoh Lihzeh (I-8) and he will ask you to find one last ingredient: Papaka Grass. This stuff is dropped from the Wild Dhalmels in Tahrongi Canyon. When Tapoh has the grass, she finishes the medicine. You give the medicine to Kuoh, and you will recieve 1500 gil.
In a Stew
NPC: Kuoh Rhel (K-12)-Windurst Woods
Reward: 900 gil
Requirements: Complete the Chocobilious quest
Item(s) Needed: 3 Woozyshrooms
Repeatable: No
The same chocobo is still sick and it won't take the medicine you brought to it. If a special stew is created, it might take the medicine. So go over to Ranpi-Monpi at the Culinarians' Guild (E-6) and he will make you the stew, but you need to get him an ingredient. You can find the woozyshrooms off Fungars in the Jungar Forest or in the Auction House. Bring the woozyshrooms to Ranpi, who will complete the stew and then bring the stew to Kuoh. The chocobo will finally drink the medicine and recovers!.

NPC: Ohruru -Port Windurst
Reward: Mute:1200 gil, Bane:1000 gil, Plague:1500 gil

Repeatable: No
If you can find Ohruru while effected by either Mute, Bane or Plague, she will offer to cure you. Also, she will give a pay out depending on the virus.
