Samurai Two-Hour: Meikyo Shisui

The Samurai two-hour ability (2hr or 2-hour as they're called in-game) is Meikyo Shisui, and it does two things. First, it instantly fills your TP bar to 300%. Second, it reduces the TP cost of each weapon skill to 100 TP exactly. This means that you can do up to 3 weapon skills with Meikyo Shisui alone.

To get the most out of your two-hour, however, you can set up your skills to do 5 back-to-back weapon skills, and skillchain with yourself multiple times. To do this, you should do the following, in order, and quickly:

  1. Get TP to 100%
  2. Use a Weapon Skill (TP becomes 0%)
  3. Use your 2-hour, Meikyo Shisui (TP becomes 300%)
  4. Use a Weapon Skill (TP becomes 200%)
  5. Use Meditate (TP begins to rise back towards 300%)
  6. Use a Weapon Skill (TP is somewhere between 100% and 200%)
  7. Use a Weapon Skill (By now TP should be at least 100%)
  8. Use a Weapon Skill (TP is somewhere under 100%)

Using Meikyo Shisui this way can save your party in danger, can be a great way to get an NM, BCNM or other big baddie down quickly, and it can be your best chance at beating Maat for the Samurai Genkai 5 (G5) quest, which is required to break the Level 71 barrier.

A word of caution: doing this many weapon skills will probably get the mob's attention. Hate is coming your way, and you should be ready. Use Third Eye before attempting multiple weapon skills if you can, and make sure that you can take the damage, that the tank is ready to pull hate back or that your weapon skills will kill the enemy.
