Samurai AF: Yomi Okuri

Myochin Sune-Ate (AF Boots)

You must have completed the first AF quest (Magoroku) to receive this quest. You must also be level 50.

You need to go to Norg and talk to Jaucribaix. He'll ask you for a special bird feather that he needs for a ritual. The feather can only be obtained from a bird in the Labyrinth of Onzozo, but you'll need to lure it out. Jaucribaix sends you to Washu, his chef. Head back down the hall away from Jaucribaix and enter the first door on your right to find Washu. She'll ask you for the neccessary ingredients. They are: A Frost Turnip, a piece of Giant Sheep's Meat, a Bastore Sardine and a Hecteye's Eye. Bring them to her and you'll get some stew. Giant birds like stew.

You'll want to assemble a couple of high-level friends to kill the NM bird. One 75 Paladin could solo this, but you might want to bring along a healer and/or another damage-dealer (DD) to be sure. If your friends aren't quite that high in level, you'll want a full party of 60+ friends helping you out.

The Labyrinth of Onzozo is accessible through a cave entrance at the north tip of the north-eastern beach in Buburimu Peninsula. It's not a friendly place for someone in their 50s, so make sure you have some Sneak and Invisible handy (either a mage friend or Prism Powders and Silent Oils). Follow the cavern to the left until you arrive at a small, bone-covered hut at (F-8). You'll find a ??? point, at which you can place the stew.

As soon as you do, your good friend Ubume, the NM bird, will appear. Ubume has Thief/Bard abilities, most notably Horde Lullaby. The lullaby will only be direct in front of the bird, so keep everyone except your tank behind it.

Once you've defeated Ubume, re-inspect the ??? to obtain the feather. Head back to to Norg and give the feather to Jaucribaix. He'll take a full day (Earth time) to forge the Great Katana he plans to use for the ritual.

Come back twenty-four hours later and he'll give you the Yomotu Hirasaka (a Key Item). You'll need to head to Valkurm Dunes.

Again, you'll want some high-level help as there are two NMs to fight here. Go to Valkurm Dunes, and head to the Secret Beach, which is not on the map, but accessible through a tunnel by travelling along the northwesternmost corridor in the area.

On the shorline, you'll find a ??? point where you must bring forth the NMs. They can only be popped by activiating the ??? point between 20:00 and 4:00 (at night). When you check the ??? at that time, two NMs will pop. They are Onryu (ghost) and Doman (shadow). Beware of Onryu's Curse area of effect ability — not good.

Once you've defeated the NMs, check the ??? again to receive a Key Item. Return to Jaucribaix in Norg and he'll give you your Myochin Sune-Ate, the Samurai AF boots.
