Samurai Job Abilities
Below are all the job abilities of the Samurai (SAM) in Final Fantasy XI. Please note: These job abilities have been changed in accordance with the October 2006 FFXI update.

| Meikyo Shisui | 1 | 2 Hours | Self | Lowers TP cose of weapon skills |
| Warding Circle | 5 | 5 Minutes | Party | Improves party resistance against demons |
| Third Eye | 15 | 1 Minute | Self | Dodge next enemy attack |
| Hasso | 25 | 1 Minute | Self | Enhances attack speed, accuracy and STR |
| Meditate | 30 | 3 Minutes | Self | Gradually charge TP |
| Seigan | 35 | 1 Minute | Self | Enhances Third Eye effect |
Once you've reached level 75, you can add merits to your Samurai and learn new Job Abilities. They are:

| Shikikoyo | 75 | 15 Minutes | Party Member | Transfers TP over 100% to a party member |
| Blade Bash | 30 | 15 Minutes | Target | Attacks the target at a range, ocassionally causing Stun or Plague |
The recast time on job abilities (except for Meikyo Shisui) can also be lowered with merits.
