Samurai: The Potential Within
Quest to Unlock Tachi: Kasha
To unlock the final Samurai weapon skill, Tachi: Kasha, you'll need to complete a quest. To begin the quest, The Potential Within, talk to Jaucribiax in Norg. You should remember him — he's the one who gave you this job, and some of your AF. He'll only give you the quest if you've leveled your Great Katana combat skill to at least 250, and you're level 71.
He'll give you a Tachi of Trials (Great Katana) and Writing of Practice (Key Item). The Tachi of Trials has a latent effect, and your goal is to get rid of it. To do that, you need to get 300 "points" by completing skillchains.
You get one (1) point every time you use a weapon skill. You get two (2) points for completing a level one skilchain. You get three (3) points for completing a level two skillchain, and five (5) points for completing a level three skillchain.
After the latent effect wears off, head back to Jaucribaix and give him back the Tachi of Trials. He'll give you a map (key item), and sends you off to Kuftal Tunnel.
In Kuftal Tunnel, head to K7-L7 and examine the ???. This will pop an NM, Kattenkaefer. At this time, you want to kill this thing. If you don't, it might kill you.
It's a beetle, and you're going to want a full party of 70+ players to beat it. Once you do, re-examine the ??? and receive another key item.
Then, return to Norg and speak with Jaucribiax again. Your quest is completed, and you can now use Tachi: Kasha.
