Faust

Faust is a Sky NM who drops the pop item Summerstone.

Faust spawns every 4-6 hours and has no placeholders. Be careful while navigating around Fasut's area — Faust aggros by sight and has a very long visual range. He also moves very quickly, so it's very difficult to evade him.

Faust can be killed by two parties of high-level players. One common strategy is to have a tank (such as a Paladin) kite Faust in circles around one of the teleports — usually behind the Yellow gate. Black Mages and Summoners may stand on the platform by the telepoint and attack Faust with spells and avatars. Rangers and other melee jobs should also stand here and use ranged attacks, if they can do decent damage. Faust frequently uses a Typhoon attack which does damage to those within a small radius of the NM. This makes it very dangerous for melees to attack Faust. It's usually best for melees, especially Samurai, to build TP via ranged attacks and only approach Faust for a quick weapon skill.

The Summerstone is one of two items required to spawn Suzaku.
