Final Fantasy XII: Characters

Final Fantasy XII will have various races, like in Final Fantasy XI, and some races will speak different languages. The two main characters are both of the Hume race.

Vaan

Van is a seventeen-year-old thief from Dalmasca, and like Ashe, is searching for liberty.

Ashe

Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca, or Ashe, is the princess of the Kingdom of Dalmasca. Her kingdom, though, is threatened by an invasion by the Archadian Empire. Determined to earn back her place on the throne, she journeys to confront the leader of the Empire.

Balthier

Balthier is a sky pirate. He has his own airship, and carries a firearm as his main weapon.

Fran

Fran, who accompanies Balthier, is a sky pirate of the Viera race. She's agile, and proficient with the bow & arrow.

Penelo

Penelo is a 16-year-old who is best friends and neighbours with Vaan.

Basch

Sir Basch fon Ronsenburg is a former Dalmascan general who is accused of committing high treason. Basch is also allegedly responsible for the death of Vaan's brother.
