FFXIV Classes and Disciplines
The job system of Final Fantasy XIV is the Armoury System, which assigns classes, skills and attributes to characters based on the weapon or tool that they are holding. The classes include battle, crafting and harvesting types of jobs, bringing these different activities together into a single system.
The classes are generally divided into four categories known as disciplines. Based on the weapon or tool in the player’s hand, characters become a Disciple of War, a Disciple of Magic, a Disciple of the Hand or a Disciple of Land. The disciplines are further divided into individual classes.
