Moogles & Mognet

In Final Fantasy IX, Moogles are like save points. At a moogle, you can save your game, use a Tent, and access Mognet. Some moogles even run a Mogshop where you can buy items and weapons.

Mognet is a mail delivery system between Mogs. Kupo, in Alexandria, will introduce you to this system, and ask you to help out by delivering letters to other moogles. This system continues, but later on it will stop for some unknown reason. The moogles need you to help out, here's how.

You'll need to go to Mognet Central. You'll need to use a chocobo with the Reef ability. Go to the long island located north of the Outer Continent (see map.) You'll find a crack in the mountain in the centre of the island... use a Dead Pepper to open the crack with your Chocobo.

Inside, you'll learn from Artemecion that he used to much of a certain item on himself that the machine that runs Mognet, which needs the item to function, can't be used. To learn about the item, begin delivering a chain of letters (described below) starting with Kupo in Alexandria. [ note... after each delivery you get a Kupo Nut. You should make sure you deliver this nut to the family in Gizamaluke's Grotto. You won't get a new Kupo Nut if you already have one. ] First talk to Kupo at the Alexandria Bell Tower... then deliver his letter to Alta.. and follow the chain below

* On Disc 4 the Ice Cavern is closed and Mois has moved to Qu's Marsh by the Entrance to Fossil Roo. You'll need Quina to get there. (Fossil Roo is now closed, but Mois is in the marsh by the entrance.)
