Battle System

For Final Fantasy X-2, Square Enix's game developers made some modifications to the FFX game engine. Final Fantasy X-2 features a new battle system that gives up a number of FFX-specific features. There will be no more Overdrives, Sphere Grid, Aeons or Overkills.

The new battle system is heavily based on the transition of job classes (via Dress Spheres). The FFX-2 battle system is more active, with increased AI for enemies.
