Final Fantasy Adventure / Seiken Densetsu

When a dark lord threatens to destroy the Tree of Mana and throw the world into darkness, it's up to a pair of young heroes to save the day.

Final Fantasy Adventure (Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden in Japan, Mystic Quest in Europe) is the first game in the Seiken Densetsu series. The game was made by Square (now Square Enix) for the Nintendo Game Boy as a spin-off of Final Fantasy, but sparked the creation of the independant Seiken Densetsu / Mana series which continues today.

Unlike most other Square RPGs of its day, including Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy Adventure used a more action-oriented battle style, compared to the traditional turn-based battles.
