Hidden Chest Locations
Mushroom Kingdom: Early in the game, when you first enter enter the palace, you need to jump up on Toad's head as he approaches the first door, and then jump up above the door. This one is tricky.
Item: Frog Coin.
Mushroom Kingdom: Go to the item shop's basement. A man in there will direct you to the chest.

Mushroom Kingdom: In the item shop basement, you'll find a box in the far right corner.

Bandit's Way: Jump on the spinning flower and jup on diagonal towards the top-right corner of your screen.

Rosetown: Go upstairs in the house on the hill and jump on the bed.

Rosetown: Ascend to the roof of the item shop by climbing the boxes, and go down the chimneyy. Jump on the bottom-right edge of the bookcase.

Forest Maze: On the first screen/area of the maze go to the top-left corner of the area and jump.

Forest Maze: When returning to the surface from the first underground area (you should see a stump and a bee), go to the top-left corner and jump to find the hidden chest.

Forest Maze: In the area with seven stumps, go into the farthest stump. You'll find a hidden chest when you jump behind the sleeping Wiggler.

Forest Maze: In the area with seven stumps, descend into the bottom-right stump. You'll notice several spots of light on the floor. Move to the largest spot at the bottom and jump to reach the chest.

Forest Maze: Still in the area with seven stumps, go to the middle-left stump. Go to the small spot of light next to the trampoline, move a little bit up and to the right and jump around that area until you find it.

Forest Maze: Near the save point, go to the top-right corner and jump.
Item: Red Essence
Pipe Vault: In the area with the long row of pipes, descend into the second pipe. You should now see top row and a bottom row. The top row is a little hard to reach, get right in front of where the top and the bottom rows line up and jump, this should make a yellow block appear. Use the yellow block to get to the top row. Step forward four spaces and jump.

Pipe Vault: Step forward four more spaces from where the previous chest is and jump.

Yo'ster Isle: Beside the entrance to the pipe vault, there is a save point. Jump behind it and jump to the chest.

Booster Pass: In the first section of Booster Pass, go left of the entrance and climb the hill. The top of the hill should have only one cactus on it, get on the cactus and jump.
Item: Flower
Booster Pass: In the same area, climb the hill in front of you. When next to the exit at the top go to the left corner then turn around so Mario is facing you. Take a step forward and jump.
Item: Rock Candy
Booser's Tower: In the second area, where Snifits are coming down the stairs, go to the top of the stairs and to the corner to the right. Then, step to the left on a black tile and jump.

Booster's Tower: After the Thwomp see-saws you to the room with parachuting Snifits, go to the bottom-left corner and jump. It should be above a black tile.

Booster's Tower: At the top of the tower, where there are three yellow blocks making stairs along the wall, climb the yellow block staircase and jump on top of the already present treasure chest. Once on top, jump!

Booster's Tower: In the same room, go to the bottom-right corner and jump around until you find it.

Marrymore Inn: Spend the night in a regular room. Once you wake up, climb the shelf on the left side of the room and jump.

Sunken Ship: With the fake Mario present, there should be a few spots of light on the ground. Try to jump on the fake Mario's head while he is standing on the light spot in the middle of the room. From there is an invisible box about 1–2 spaces away from the lower wall. Hit it with your head if you do the treasure should appear.

Land's End: Go to the cannon that shoots you to a platform moving up and down. On that platform turn so you can only see Mario's back, and run and jump off the platform in that direction.

Land's End: In the second section, stand between the platform and the cannon and jump to reveal a hidden platform. Using the cannon, propell yourself on this platform and reach the high place that was inaccessible before. Once here move to the far left corner and jump.

Land's End: In the section just before the sky bridge, there should be a plateau that has many levels just like a staircase. Beside the plateau there are two stationary purple flowers. Jump between them.

Land's End: Beneath the sky bridge, there is a cave that leads back to the Kero Sewers. Once back here in the first section go to the corner in the back, evade the Chow and leap over to get the treasure.

Belome's Temple: After the first part where your fortune is fulfilled, a gate will open leading to a room with two visible treasures. Climb the ledge and go to the left so your on a ledge facing on of the treasures. Jump onto the treasure that is closer to the entrance to this room and jump to reveal a hidden treasure above it.

Belome's Temple: In the same room with the chests, you'll notice that the floor is made with tiles. Descend the stairs, so your on the first row of tiles then move along that row to the corner and jump.

Monstro Town: Go to the area with the exit door. Jump behind the bush and jump.

Bean Valley: In the first area go down the right pipe, to the second area. Here, go to the left corner and jump.

Bean Valley: In the area with five piranah plants growing out of pipes, go into the bottom-right pipe. Go under the already visible treasure box and move to the left, to the second-last row of tiles, go onto the center tile and jump.

Bean Valley: In the same area with five pipes, go down the pipe to the far right and go to the farthest right point, move down 1 tile and jump

Nimbus Land: In the item shop, jump onto the highest box, then jump towards the desk.

Nimbus Land: Go to the grand hallway and go to the top-right corner next to the bird and jump.

Nimbus Land: In the palace, in the room that has pink walls, jump on the floating box and jump.

Nimbus Land: In the palace, right outside the small room where everyone is being held, move along the wall two steps away from the entrance to the small room and jump.

Nimbus Land: In the same room, move along the wall to the left at the base of the stairs. Enter the secret entrance and follow the path until you reach the end. Now, jump.
