Mass Effect 2

Soverign has been defeated, and the galaxy has returned to relative peace. But the threat of the Reapers is far from over — and with the apparent loss of Commander Shepard, that threat seems even more real…

Mass Effect 2 picks up two years after the original Mass Effect left off. A teaser trailer for the game, released in February 2009, declared that Commander Shepard was killed in action. The events of Shepard's supposed are shown at the beginning of the game.

Mass Effect 2 allows players to continue their character from Mass Effect 1, allowing decisions made in the first game to have an impact on events of the second. As for players who do not have a save file, they will need to create a new character and will be briefed on the events of the first installment.

BioWare released Mass Effect 2 in January 2010. The third installment, Mass Effect 3 is currently in development.
