Oblivion: Dark Brotherhood Quest
This one is different. The Dark Brotherhood doesn't like to take on contracts that don't involve actual murder, but was well compensated for this one. Francois Motierre has hired the Dark Brotherhood to fake his death. Apparently he owes some money, and his lenders have given up on him. You need to stage his death before an enforcer actually kills him.
Vicente supplies you with two items. One is a dagger, which is coated with a special posion which simulates death. The other is the antidote to that poison.
Head to Chorrol. You can find Francois Motierre's house near the Mages Guild in the center of the town. Break through the "Hard" lock on his door and speak with him. You're told that the enforcer will come shortly. Moments later, Hides-his-Heart will enter. Attack Motierre with the poison knife and he'll go down as expected. The enforcer will attack you, but you must run out of Chorrol instead of fighting back. You must keep him alive, or he won't be able to tell his employers that Francois is dead.
Return to Chorrol a day later and enter the Chapel Undercroft. Approach Francois' corpse and administer the antidote.
Francois will then warn you that his ancestors in the tomb will see his revival as a desecration. You'll need to fight your way through two or three zombies on your way out.
Once Francois is safe, return to the Sanctuary. Vicente will reward you with an amulet, the Cruelty's Heart. He'll also advance your rank to Eliminator and provide you with a key that allows faster access in and out of the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary.
Speaking with Vicente again reveals that your time with him has come to an end. He'll pass you on to Ocheeva for the remaining quests, beginning with The Lonely Wanderer. Vicente will offer you a gift, though. He gives you the opportunity to become a vampire like him. If you're willing, you can make the transformation at any time by speaking to him again.
