Astral Desert: Empty Bucket Quest
In Tropp, you'll find a young man, Curious Youth, hanging around the northeastern side of the town's center square. He'll give you an empty bucket which you can use for another
If you're carrying a letter for Fez from Tatroi, do not talk to this youth a second time. If you do, you'll lose the letter and have to walk back to Tatroi to get another one. If you're worried, deliver the letter to Fez (who is on the docks to the west) first.
Once you have the bucket, you can do a small side-quest in the Astral Desert with the empty bucket.
Grab a bunny and ride it into the desert — you can do this entire quest on a bunny, and indeed you'll need one to cross over the Quicksand. Approach an oasis in the desert until you see the icon to fill the empty bucket with water. Once you do you'll get a “Bucket of Water”. Head back towards Tropp without leaving this area (where the 1 is on the map below). Here, you'll find a shriveled up cactus.
There are a total of five of these throughout the map. You need to water each cactus in a particular order. Each time you water a cactus, it will rise up and point towards another cactus. Follow the direction it is pointing and water that cactus next. You need to refill your empty bucket at an oasis between cactus waterings.
If you water a cactus and it immediately shrivels up again, you've chosen the wrong one. You don't need to start over, though, just move on to find the right one — any cactus still standing will stay that way unless you zone out of the desert.

Once you water the final cactus in the southwest corner of the desert, it will stand straight up. Check it again in order to receive the following items:
- Potent Attack Seeds
- Intelligence Seeds × 2
- Potent Health Seeds
- Magic Seeds × 2
